A budget for you and your people
Share the bills.Keep the rest.
Wangu is the budget for you, your partner, your family, your housemates or your friends. Everything runs payday to payday, you share what you choose, and what is yours stays yours.
How it works
One road between two paydays.
Calendar months do not match how you get paid, so Wangu runs payday to payday: weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Scroll and watch a pay period spend itself.
The pay lands
Wangu starts a fresh period and lines every bill up against it, so you see the whole month before you spend a penny.
Rent and council tax −£918
Shared bills belong to everyone in the Kitty. Whoever pays ticks it off, and the whole household sees it.
Groceries and the bus −£272
Every budget turns amber at 80% and red when you are over, so surprises show up early, not on payday.
A gift nobody else sees −£145
Personal items stay personal. Everyone else sees only that something private exists, never what or how much.
Plan, then spend −£221
Plan shows where your balance is heading to payday, so a night out is a choice, not a gamble.
Still in the green.
Money left, a daily allowance to the next pay, and a fresh start. Calm, on repeat.
Play with it
A real Wangu, with made-up people.
Tap around. Everything here runs in your browser on demo data. Nothing is saved and nothing is sent anywhere.
Four things to try
Maya, Tom and Sam share a Kitty. You are Maya. Work down the list, or just explore.
- ✓Open Bills and tick off the electric
- ✓Add a spend and watch the ring move
- ✓Switch to Tom and see Maya's private gift hidden
- ✓Open Plan and drag the day slider
This is a simplified preview with demo numbers. The real app does a lot more, and your data never leaves your own Kitty.
Same Wangu. Different view.
Most budgeting apps make you choose between sharing everything and sharing nothing. In Wangu each item is shared or private, and the owner decides. Switch who is looking, then flip an item.
Only the owner can change an item. Others cannot see private amounts, even in totals.
A Kitty for the occasion.
Holiday, stag weekend, wedding fund or a shared house: start a Trip Kitty, invite the group and see who has put in and what is left. Tap a name to add £50.
Demo only. Real Kitties track payments you record yourselves, no card details involved.
What's inside
Calm on the surface. Plenty underneath.
Money left, at a glance
A ring shows what is left this pay period, split into what you have spent and what is still committed. A daily allowance tells you what is safe to spend today.
Plan ahead
See what is coming before it lands. Year view, what-if and price changes.
Chat in every Kitty
Talk about the bill on the bill. No screenshots in another app.
Money abroad
Sending money home? Live rate and an estimate of what arrives, across 160 currencies.
Smart help
Ask Wangu to spot savings or set you up from a statement. Preview first, undo any time.
Backed up, hourly
Typed confirmation before anything is deleted, and hourly backups behind it.
Trip Kitty
Split it. Settle it. Stay friends.
Start a Kitty for the occasion, invite the group and see who has put in and what is left. When the trip is over, it is over.
How Wangu is different
Built around people, not just accounts.
Most money apps start from one person and one bank connection. Wangu starts from the people and the pay period. A general look at common patterns, not a review of any one product.

Questions
Answers before you ask.
Is Wangu only for couples?
No. Wangu works for one person, partners, families, housemates, friend groups and one-off trips. You can run several Kitties and switch between them.
How is Wangu different from my bank's budgeting tools?
Your bank sees your bank. Wangu sees your plan: payday-to-payday budgets, bills, shared goals and the people you share them with, across any bank. You choose what each person sees.
Can the others see everything I spend?
Only what you mark as shared. Personal items show up to others as hidden.
Do I have to link my bank?
No. You can start in minutes by adding bills and spending yourself. Live bank feeds are coming soon and will be optional.
What does it cost?
Free for up to two people. Plus and Pro, with bigger groups and extras, are coming soon. One person will pay for the whole Kitty. Pricing shown is a draft.
Where does it run?
On iPhone and in your browser. Your Kitties sync between the two.
Does it work outside the UK?
Yes. Wangu has regional setups, including Africa and Europe, and a money abroad tool for sending money home.
